The double pendulum clock by Claude Schauerte and Florian Frisch symbolises the frequent interplay of two pendulums:
It’s not just the two pendulums and the variety of twin elements that catch the eye. The piece was created from intensive exchanges, planning and craftsmanship over a three year period. The two friends have created a purely handcrafted grandfather clock based on old English and French precision pendulum clocks. At the very heart is increased precision achieved through the unique invention by Claude and Florian in the coupling of the two pendulums.
The unfamiliar sight of the identical same directional movement is pure fascination. It seems as though the masterpiece is always in complete balance.
